As a refresher, you’ve gotten over your bravery issues, you’ve found your skills, you’ve agreed to giving your life for the cause, and you’ve now finally gone out and battled evil to save the day.
But you’ve killed the bad guy.
This song is you coming to terms with what you’ve done. As with all acts of vigilante violence, you’re torn between taking the law into your own hands and having preserved the life of innocence. And since this is your first time doing the deed, your mind needs to calm down, allowing you to make peace with your recent life endangerment for the greater good.
Now, most of us wouldn’t have gone this far - but in the fun world of make believe, and to tell the story correctly, murder needs to be OK with a vigilante in the making. But the toll it takes on your mind is certainly noticeable; you begin to go a bit crazy in order for your brain to cope with this new development.
This is where you start to realize that becoming a vigilante is going to slowly turn you insane. You press on.
